Boronising is a thermo-chemical surface hardening process during which the diffusion and subsequent absorption of boron atoms into the metallic lattice of the component surface forms interstitial boron compounds. The resulting layer may consist of either a single-phase boride or a poly-phase boride layer. The morphology, growth, and phase composition of boride layer can be influenced by the alloying elements in the base material. The microhardness of borided layer also depends strongly on the composition and structure of the boride layer and the composition of the base material.
Why choose this service
United Oil Tools provides high quality boronising services under a suitable budget. Our boronised layers possess characteristics as high hardness, good thickness, consistency in thickness, defect free, and excellent morphology. These characteristics result in significant performance improvement in wear and corrosion condition that have been demonstrated by functional and standard test procedures.
Great Technology
Employing high-quality technology such as specially designed Australian made furnaces with/without protective atmosphere as well as specific boronising agents (powder/paste), we perform boronising treatments to meet industry requirements.
On Time Delivery
We are committed to plan and execute various stages of our boronising procedures in a manner that satisfies our customers schedule.
Excellent Team
Our team of qualified engineers in executive and R&D sections is partnered with world leaders in the boronising technology together with Australian universities to offer the best possible solution to be applied for specific materials and applications.
High Quality
Our proprietary process is ISO 9001:2015 certified. Metallurgical, mechanical, dimensional, and visual examinations are conducted throughout the manufacturing process tests according to the components’ specific standards to ensure the quality of layer and the components.
